Over the past 24 hours has exposed to me one big hypocrisy on X (@thebigjohnshow) that some people do who don't believe in Jesus Christ, God, or Christianity in general. These are the same people who will rush to the store (physical or online), spend every penny they have on purchasing gifts for loved ones, just to celebrate what is now referred to as a Christian holiday. And yet, these people make fun / mock me for my belief.
I don't ever claim to be the perfect Christian or live the life, word for word, but if you understand the greatest gift ever given to man (woman and children included), we have a loving father who forgives us for our shortcomings. He KNOWS I'm not perfect, but I try to be the best I can be daily. I know there are people who go to church every time the doors open, who fall on their knees every minute of the day, and can quote every scripture / verse in detail, but that is not me. However, I have several conversations with my heavenly father daily, I always ask for his help for wisdom, blessings, in decision making, protection, health, guidance and so on. I also ask him to bless others, help those who seek his guidance (even when they don't at the moment), to comfort those who may be experiencing a rough situation. I've read the KJV bible along with several other reference resources to better understand his word, including the Apocrypha and the Quran, along with the other points of view in Wiccan practices / rituals in my younger years. Depending on what branch of Christianity you serve under, you might be sharing some of the same wiccan rituals / practices.
So for those who called me a "cultist" for believing in my Heavenly Father, or said that Heaven is a "fairy tale", or pointed out that I should also believe in Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny too, those characters are actually very similar, historically. One actually existed under a different name who did give toys to children in orphanages along with helping the poor and sick. So I'm sure if you spent more time researching those two things on a search engine or library that doesn't filter out anything non-woke or is biased against Christianity, your mind would be expanded (or blown). And another thing, you might want to research other religions history when it comes to the existence of Jesus Christ, or the lack of being able to prove he doesn't exist. MANY religions admit he exists, even the devil admits it in his.
If you don't want to believe in him or his Heavenly Father, that's between you and God. As for me and my family, we will serve him. If you can't wrap your head around that, it's okay by me because it's between you and him. I will continue to pray for those who keep making fun of me or mocking me that one day they will "see the light". Who knows, in the end if I'm wrong, that is between me and my God. I don't feel that I'm wrong, my faith is strong in what I believe and have personally witnessed / experienced in my life. It could very easily be that our religious structuring should be what the Norse or the Greek believed in. Personally, with all I've studied in the past, I could easily see how that might fit in, but under a different "branding", if you will.
For those of you who mock and make fun of me, I will leave you with two very interesting quotes that I like to keep in mind:
“The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist” - Charles Baudelaire
“The second greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is the good guy” - Ken Ammi
